Edinburgh needs hope
Edinburgh is a city we love, but it is also a city that desperately needs hope. Around 95% of people in our city do not know Jesus, church attendance has been declining for decades, and many existing congregations are ageing. At the same time, thousands of new homes are planned within a short distance of our new building at Lochside.
We believe God has placed us here for such a time as this—not simply to occupy a building, but to help more people find the living hope that is found in Jesus Christ. In a city where loneliness, anxiety and isolation are increasingly common, we long to be a church that welcomes people, serves our community, and shares the good news of Jesus with the next generation.
Hope For Our City
Edinburgh is a city where 95% don’t yet have the living hope that comes from Jesus and our mission is to change that: we exist to multiply followers of Jesus.
We have completed the purchase of this fantastic new space. Join with us as we turn this into our home over the coming months.

What God Is Doing
While church attendance across Scotland has been declining for decades, we are encouraged by what God is doing in Edinburgh. Hope City has grown by around 20% year on year, our children’s ministry now welcomes around 100 children each Sunday, and we regularly gather around 250 people across two services. We have outgrown our current home and believe this new building will help us make room for many more people to hear about Jesus.

[To be confirmed]
Hope City exists to ‘multiply followers of Jesus’. It’s at the heart of everything we do. And we need more space to welcome in those who are making this part of Edinburgh home for work and to live.
