A Merciful Invitation to Sinners

This week we are looking at Matt 9:9-13. Jesus calls Matthew the taxcollector to follow him, and then joins "taxcollectors and sinners" for dinner. To the Pharisees this is a scandal. To Jesus, this is essential to his mission. He is like a physician earnestly seeking out the sick to bring them healing.
