In another amazing act of provision, another generous donor has come forward with a brand-new challenge:

They will give £100,000 — if we can raise £100,000 in pledges by the end of June.

This challenge works a little differently. We’re not asking everyone to donate immediately. Instead, we’re inviting people to make a pledge, a commitment to give over the next three years. That could look like a one-time gift, monthly giving, quarterly donations, or whatever works best for you.

Every pledge made before the end of June counts toward unlocking the full matched £100,000 gift.

This is another incredible opportunity for us, together, to step out in faith, invest in what God is doing, and make an even greater impact for the future. So if you thought you missed your chance last time, you haven’t.

Harben Kay (Duo) + Modern Vikings (Quintet)

A great night of modern jazz from two of the most exciting acts around right now.

Harben Kay brings a fresh, personal sound that blends jazz with influences from across the UK and beyond. With a couple of acclaimed albums, UK tours, and shows at places like Ronnie Scott's and the Royal Albert Hall, their music feels both thoughtful and easy to connect with.

Modern Vikings are a top-tier quintet led by Stephen Henderson, featuring Fergus McCreadie, David Bowden, Graeme Stephen and Konrad Wiszniewski. Theor sound mixed the melodic feel of Scandinavian jazz with the energy of the American scene. They've picked up serious recognision too, including a Critics'Choice win at the 2024 Scottish Jazz Awards.

How Christ Redeems what sin distorts: SEX

Male or female, single or married, introvert or extrovert, we all need friends. In fact, God made us for relationship. But many of us are lonely or feel overwhelmed by the pressures of life and more and deeper friendships seem far out of reach. Is there wisdom the bible can offer on this?
Come and join us on Saturday 16th May from 10am to 12.30pm when we'll think together about gospel-centred friendship and when friendship is hard.

Whether you’ve been married for many years, are just beginning to consider marriage, or are somewhere in between, The Marriage Sessions is a fantastic opportunity for couples to invest in their marriage. Each evening will be held online and will provide video content and plenty of time for discussion as a couple. All you need to do is register to receive the link, and we'd recommend creating your own date night setting when you join the sessions - why not get a take-away or a glass of wine and some crisps to munch on together while watching the videos in the sessions?
The video content used for these sessions is from an organisation called "Care for the Family" - it's based on the wisdom of the Bible and focusses on the practical aspects of strengthening your relationship. One registration covers all 4 Monday evenings (4 May, 18 May, 1 June, 15 June). Each evening has different content and so we would encourage you to attend all four evenings to benefit fully from the event. The format of the evenings has an emphasis on discussion and is designed for both individuals in the couple to attend together, joining from the same device.

Join us on Sunday 3rd May from 5–6pm for a special B-Side: New Building Prayer Walk.
We’ll be meeting at our potential new building, 2 Lochside Avenue, where we’ll spend time walking through the space in small groups, praying intentionally for each area of ministry. Together, we’ll commit this building to God and seek His presence, wisdom, and direction for all that could take place there.
In a season full of movement and possibility, this is a chance to slow down, listen, and pray as a church family.

This year we are returning with another 6 events at The Corner Room with a renewed focus on building community and sharing Jesus with the arts community. You can expect the same format as last year but with 12 new guests who will be experiencing church in the format of a live music event.

The Corner Room is an outreach project here at Hope City aimed at connecting musicians with followers of Jesus. Sometimes an invite to church on a Sunday is intimidating -  we've seen growth through inviting musicians to partner with us on live events - spending time with us planning, eating and sharing music together on the night of the gig.

This year we're introducing a discounted season pass for regular attendees, it's a great way to support this project financially and help us create opportunities to work with new artists! Click below to find out more:

An announcement for women in our church: 

We would like to make you aware of an upcoming event that may be of interest. The Scottish Women’s Bible Convention will be taking place in autumn 26', and it offers a valuable opportunity for women to gather for worship, Bible teaching, and fellowship.

On Saturday 3rd October 2026, the Scottish Women’s Bible Convention will be taking place at Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh. This event is a wonderful opportunity for women to gather together for worship and biblical teaching, all centred on our Lord Jesus. We’d love to encourage the women in our church family to consider attending.

Following last year's word-for-word setting of Romans 12, I've this year set the prophetic book of Haggai to music and dance. This will feature a twelve piece band -- including many of our regular Sunday musical guests -- as well as three dancers.

Come and bring a friend as we explore through music and movement the message of rebuilding, hope, commitment, and God's presence.
